The VTCT Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (QCF) is a theoretical qualification. The course is for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirements to practice as an assessor.

The VTCT Level 3 has three units which are assessed via written assignments:

  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
